International Women’s Day: Dr. Jordan
March 8th is International Women’s Day and we’re celebrating by featuring some of Downtown Burlington’s female business owners & managers! With so many incredible business owners downtown we turned to our community to help us in the selection process by nominating a female business owner that inspires you.

Meet Dr. Jordan Robertson ND, owner and Naturopathic Doctor at Clarity Health who was nominated for “growing her own practice downtown. She’s admired for her honest approach to wellness particularly around women’s health issues.”
We asked Jordan a few questions:
What was the defining moment for you? When did you know that this was your career path?
When I was experiencing my third miscarriage in a row, sitting in on the side of the highway in a snowstorm (after fleeing the hospital) I realized two things. One, I needed to put my research skills to work on my own health, and two, women’s health was in desperate need of a different approach. In my last 12 years working in downtown Burlington, we’ve worked with over 10,000 women to help them develop a health strategy to support hormonal health, fertility and menopause by creating clear and effective health plans for them to feel better and to get the kind of care they deserve.
I think the next generation of women are in a position to really leverage their feminine skills in as leaders for tomorrow. Organizations, including healthcare organizations, are desperate for the kind of leadership, vulnerability and power that women have to offer. We need the next generation of women to be brave, and to feel supported by the women ahead of them to take risks and to show up in the workplace as a force. My goal as a women’s health care strategist is to help women feel well so they can reach their potential as leaders in our community.
