That’s a Wrap! Movies by the Lake 2025
What a summer it’s been! While we didn’t get to enjoy our final movie, Big, due to inclement weather, the 2025 season of Movies by the Lake was still filled with laughter, action, music, and plenty of popcorn moments under the stars at Spencer Smith Park.
From the carefree antics of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off to the high-octane thrills of Speed; each screening of movies by the lake brought something unique. Families (pets included!) spread out on blankets and chairs for the fairy-tale magic of The Princess Bride, while couples laughed along to The Wedding Singer.
Gotham even made its way to the lake with Batman, proving you don’t need a bat-signal to bring our community together. And of course, no night was complete without buttery popcorn from our friends at Cine Starz Burlington, and the other MVPS who were sure to bring along snacks and other treats!
The real stars of the season weren’t just on the screen… they were you, our audience, our sponsors and the support of our 400+ downtown business core. Your support, energy, and smiles made every night magical.
Though Big didn’t get its moment on the big screen, the memories we made together this summer will last long past the closing credits. We can’t wait to do it all again next year, with more movies, more fun, and even more surprises!
