Meet Erica + Alex, owners of ROAM.

1. Tell us a little bit about your company – we know that you started in a 1976 Trailer (amazing!) and the rest is history! Tell us what is ROAM all about!

It is a thoughtfully curated clothing and lifestyle boutique… where fashion + wanderlust go hand in hand.

2. Why did you choose Burlington Downtown to open your new location?

We were longtime employees of Joelle’s. It felt like home. We love this community.

3. What downtown businesses do you frequent and do business with?

Perspective Vision and Specs on Pearl (Erica used to work there), of course Joelle’s by Ally and Jeff’s Guyshop – our extended families, Centro, Craigs Cookies, Minty, the Burro, Radius, the Pearle… just to name a few. We definitely get around!

4. You describe ROAM as “a place where fashion and wanderlust go hand in hand”. Can you explain that a little bit more?

It is a feeling and a vibe. We want customers to feel warm, relaxed and,a bit nostalgic when they enter our space.

5. Speaking of wanderlust … if we were to grant you each a travel wish, where in the world would you go, and why?

Erica: Australia is on my bucket list to see everything from cool beach towns to city vibes.
Alex: Costa Rica – I love anywhere with lots of sunshine, greenery and, yummy food with a bit of 90s nostalgia.

6. If you could style anyone, from any period in time, who would it be and why?

Steve Nicks or Farrah Faucet – fun, colourful and flow retro vibes.
