Meet Charlene Arianna Photography
Get to know the people behind your favourite places & spaces in downtown Burlington! We’ll be introducing you to a new owner & business throughout the year!
This week, meet Charlene of Charlene Arianna Photography.
1. Why did you start/open your business?
Photography is my passion! Ever since I was a child my dad was always the one with a camera or camcorder capturing me and my sister throughout the years. I have tons of photos and videos that I am so grateful to treasure and show my own children! I want to be able to capture my clients’ milestones and help them preserve time with keepsake photo products that they will pass down for generations.
2. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business. (i.e. What is your unique offering?)
Charlene Arianna Photography is a full service studio specializing in maternity and children. I provide hair and make up, gowns and outfits for mother and child. All you have to do is show up and I have everything else covered!
3. When did you open your business in Downtown Burlington?
July 1st 2021
4. What made you choose Downtown Burlington?
I just love the vibe and community feel of Village Square. As soon as I walked into my unit I knew I would fall in love with the location. All of my fellow business owners are so kind and welcoming it really feels like a true community and I am so happy to be apart of it!
5. What other downtown businesses do you frequent and do business with?
I love Tamp Coffee downstairs from my unit, I go there often before work. For a quick lunch I frequent Village Square Supplements for a yummy protein smoothie. Son of a Peach is so delicious for drinks and pizza after work! My clients love to come to my studio and make an entire day out of it, they visit Son of a Peach or Paradiso and then go for coffee and gelato at Lola’s Choco Bar and Sweet House.
6. If you had a piece of advice for our new businesses, to help them succeed, what would it be?
There is never a perfect time to start a business or take the “next step” sometimes you just need to take a risk and go in head first. I took a huge risk opening up my own studio during a pandemic with a 9 month and 3 year old at home. But I knew I had to take a risk and make a big move to be able to further my business and be successful. I am so grateful and blessed to have an amazing family that help and support me and my business.
7. If you could photograph any celebrity or role model who would it be?
Hmmm that’s a hard one! Probably Beyonce or Jennifer lopez pregnant! Lol a woman’s body is simply beautiful when pregnant and I’d love to capture any of them.
