Meet Daniel, Al and Hamed, owners of Scooterize.

1. Tell us a little bit about your company – what is Scooterize all about?

Scooterize was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to transform the way people navigate through cities. Frustrated by traffic congestion, pollution, and limited transportation options, our founders set out to create a solution that would not only address these challenges but also promote environmental sustainability.

Driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence, Scooterize quickly emerged as a leader in the micro-mobility industry. Through strategic partnerships, cutting-edge technology, and a relentless focus on customer satisfaction, we have expanded our reach and impact, empowering individuals to move freely and responsibly in urban environments.

2. You guys are all friends from WAY BACK 😊 Why did you three decide to start this business together?

That is a great question. So, we’ve all been friends for years, and we’ve always talked about starting a business together. We’ve always shared a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. We’ve always complemented each other’s skills and strengths.

We decided to take a leap of faith and start a business together because we believed in the power of our friendship and our ability to work really well together. We knew that starting a business would be a challenging journey, but we were confident that our friendship would be the foundation that would hold us together through thick and thin.

3. Why did you choose Burlington Downtown to open your new location?

We chose downtown Burlington for several reasons. One of the reasons being the atmosphere is lively, energetic, and laid back which aligns perfectly with our brand. Another reason is the community is warm, welcoming, and kind. We feel right at home because of our neighbours and customers’ kindness. Another reason is the proximity to the lake and other amenities all around downtown. Overall, Burlington downtown offers the perfect blend of energy, accessibility, and community spirit, making it an ideal location for our new venture!

4. What downtown businesses do you frequent and do business with?

We are currently in the process of working on collaborating with a few local businesses such as Tamp Coffee and Alia’s Gelato and Caffe. Our goal is to collaborate with them on a few promotions such as vouchers for discounts on coffee and ice cream when they rent an e-scooter from us.

5. If you could take your scooter on a road-trip/trail-ride, where would you go and why?

Our preferred trail to take the e-scooters on is currently on the Waterfront Trail which starts at the end of Elizabeth Street in downtown Burlington.

6. Top scooter tip – what makes for a successful ride on a scooter?

We always suggest that safety equals success. Our first step is to always assure the customer is comfortable enough to ride the e-scooter alone safely. So we would suggest safety first, be sure to have comfortable ride, plan a route, and have fun, fun, fun.
