Family Day Fun
We get it – you’ve spent a lot of time with your family this past year. But since we’re still under lockdown orders, you won’t be straying far from home this Family Day. The good news is – there’s still SO MUCH fun to be had right here in Burlington. Bundle up, hunker down, or…do a little bit of both.
Get Outside
Even in the coldest temperatures, the Burlington’s Downtown waterfront is stunning. If you’re lucky, you may be able to catch frozen ice along the lake, or snag a spot on the ice rink at Spencer Smith Park. Ice must be booked in advance through the City of Burlington website. You can also check out the window displays at your favourite local shops. And while you’re at it, grab a hot chocolate & goodies from Lola’s Choco Bar & Sweet House in Village Square or order some hot chocolate bombs from Artisanville for curbside pickup. If you haven’t tried one yet – they’re pure magic.

Get Crafty
Both kids and adults can explore their creative side. Handmade House has little crafty goodie bags for kids while the Art Gallery of Burlington is offering a Family Open Studio at home! Every Saturday at 1 PM, visit the Art Gallery of Burlington on IGTV (you can find them at @artgallburl), where you can engage with a new family-friendly art project from the comfort of your home. Watch the step-by-step video and create a work of art using items you can find around the house. Visit the AGB website to learn more.
