CHCH Morning Live: Businesses Adapting to COVID-19

Just because we’re practicing social distancing and self-isolation doesn’t mean we can’t still support the Downtown Burlington business community!  Our friends from CHCH Morning Live dropped by for a hockey-stick-length visit with some businesses that are using ecommerce, delivery and a little bit of ingenuity to continue to provide products and services, keep in touch with clients and customers, and make sure everyone stays healthy.

Dr. Jordan Robertson ND from Clarity Health spoke about the increasing pressures many of us are feeling during this period of isolation.  Stress from full time work from home schedules, having the kids’ home full-time, having to take on the role of teacher … the reality is starting to set in that this is how things are going to be for a bit, and she has some tips to help us continue to form GOOD habits.

Lori Borsellino from Pure Boutique shows us how to work with resin to create cool pictures that ANYONE can make at home!  Using a product called Pouring Resin; Pure Boutique has kits available to purchase online so you can try this technique at home.  Self-isolation is a great time to unleash your inner artist!  So while their showroom temporarily closed, they are still taking phone and online orders and offer pickup or delivery. Follow their social channels for more!

Christina Drew from Kinetic Physiotherapy is offering virtual physiotherapy alongside online workouts and stretches that you can do from the comfort of your own home.  Connect with Kinetic Physiotherapy to help combat those feelings that you’re going stir crazy … or to take a mental health break.  Motion and movement will also help alleviate pain and stiffness from prolonged periods of sitting on the couch or at a desk chair, so be sure to incorporate some moderate exercise into your daily routine.  Join Christina for more tips on staying limber and loosening tight muscles … they’ll even help reduced stress and calm your mind!

Chef Kang from Pintoh Cuisine is busy in the kitchen whipping up everyone’s favorite thai dish … pad thai!  Pintoh offers their full menu available for delivery, and is NOW offering new make-at-home meal-kits which include sauces, protein, vegetables and herbs … it’s like bringing a little bit of Thailand into your home.
