Something spooky is brewing in Burlington Downtown!

This October, the downtown is getting a Halloween twist with the arrival of Spooky Bingo, a brand-new digital adventure inviting you to explore, discover and get into the spirit of the season.

From October 13–31, grab your free digital pass, follow your Bingo card and make your way through participating Burlington Downtown businesses. Each stop brings you one step closer to completing your Bingo, while giving you the chance to discover somewhere new along the way.

Behind freshly cobwebbed doors, you might find decorated storefronts, seasonal finds, Halloween treats, special offers and a few spooky surprises waiting for you. You never quite know what your next square might lead you to!

Whether you’re planning a fall afternoon with the family, meeting up with friends, heading downtown for a coffee or simply looking for an excuse to enjoy the season, Spooky Bingo adds a little extra boo to your downtown plans.

A Halloween Adventure Made for Wandering

There’s something about Burlington Downtown in the fall that makes it perfect for exploring. Crisp air, changing leaves, cozy cafés, independent shops and the waterfront all make for an afternoon well spent plus now there’s another reason to wander.

Spooky Bingo isn’t just about completing your card. It’s about discovering the businesses and places that make Burlington Downtown special.

Using a free digital passport, participants can follow their Bingo card to participating businesses and check in right from their phones. Every stop becomes part of your Halloween adventure, whether it takes you somewhere you visit all the time or through the doors of a business you’ve never explored before.

And because the experience is completely self-guided, there’s no set route to follow. Pick a square, choose where you want to go next and let your Bingo card lead the way.

As you make your way through Spooky Bingo, keep an eye out for businesses adding their own seasonal touches to the experience. You might stumble upon a decorated storefront, discover a Halloween-inspired item, find a seasonal treat or come across a special offer.

Some stops may be sweet, some may be spooky and others might simply introduce you to a downtown business you didn’t know was there.

That’s part of the fun! Every Bingo square is another opportunity to discover something new.

Spooky Bingo is designed to be flexible and self-guided, making it an easy fall activity for families, friends, visitors and longtime Burlington residents alike.

Bring the kids downtown for a Halloween adventure, grab your friends and see how many stops you can complete together, or make Spooky Bingo part of your next afternoon of shopping, dining and exploring.

There’s no need to complete your Bingo in one day, either. Start with a few stops and come back throughout the campaign to keep working your way across your card.

With Spooky Bingo running from October 13–31, you have plenty of time to see where your next square takes you.

You may arrive looking to complete your next Bingo square and leave having discovered a new favourite shop, restaurant, service or treat.

Each visit helps create the lively, welcoming downtown experience we love — and this Halloween, supporting local might just be the best treat of all.

No Tricks, Just Treats!

What’s a Halloween adventure without a little treasure at the end? With Spooky Bingo, exploring Burlington Downtown could lead to some fang-tastic prizes!

Visit participating locations, check in and complete a full line on your digital Bingo card, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, to earn an entry into a random draw for one of three $50 Burlington Downtown Gift Cards!

Feeling extra adventurous? Complete your entire Spooky Bingo card to earn an additional entry into a separate grand prize draw for one of three $100 Burlington Downtown Gift Cards! Participants can earn up to two contest entries: one for completing a Bingo line and another for completing the full card. No points or purchases are required to enter!

You have from October 13-October 31, 2026, to complete your Bingo card. Winners will be contacted by email after the campaign ends, and prizes can be mailed or arranged for pickup.

Best of all, Burlington Downtown Gift Cards can be used at over 85 participating businesses, so the Halloween fun can turn into a little downtown shopping, dining or self-care long after October is over!
