Hi! I’m Cathy! Here’s a little bit about me. I am a Registered Nurse. I graduated in 1989 and I worked at the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation as a surgical nurse, hematology/oncology nurse, Intensive Care Unit and Post Anesthetic Care (PACU) nurse. I also worked in Endoscopy and the Michael DeGroote Pain clinic the last few years of my hospital nursing career. I am in excellent standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and am also a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO), the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses (CSASN). I have always had a passion for fitness and beauty, but it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to work at the Hamilton Plastic Surgery Centre with one of Hamilton’s finest Plastic Surgeons, Dr. R. Patterson that I realized I LOVED Aesthetic Nursing. There were very few Nurse Injectors at the time (2005), but I worked hard, and an amazing opportunity came my way, and I will always be grateful for that! In 2008, I did it! I started my own business with the help of some amazing people in my life. I am the very proud founder and owner of Mezzmerize Medical Aesthetics here in Downtown Burlington, and I love every minute of it! I am an Advanced Certified Nurse Aesthetic Injector and am recognized as an expert injector in the industry. I have 16 years of injectable experience and have performed thousands of injections in this time. I have been trained in both the assessment and delivery of the most advanced and innovative techniques in this profession.

Kat Wilkinson was born with a fascination for every magical detail of the world around her—especially stones. As she grew up, her artistic nature flourished and eventually led to a photography degree from Sheridan College and work as a photographer, but the love of beautiful stones never went away. She trained with the Canadian Gemmological Association, graduated with honours, won an award for highest achievement and was invited to be a fellow of the CGA in 2003 (and now has the letters FCGmA after her name). She quickly also became a certified diamond grader with HRD Antwerp and coloured stone and pearl grader through the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). Kat’s design flair, coupled with her gemmological expertise, are, of course, vital to MLJ’s bespoke jewellery creation, but clients also appreciate her skilful metalsmithing. She learned the skill first at Toronto’s famous applied arts institution George Brown College back in 2003, and honed it through the classic artisanal combination of self-teaching and private tuition. The core of Modern Love Jewellery is working with our clients on projects both large (bespoke wedding rings) or small (a broken prong repair) at our showroom in Burlington, Ontario (about 40 minutes from Toronto).
