It’s patio season in Downtown Burlington!

Where sidewalks turn into gathering places and every meal comes with a side of sunshine. From early morning coffees to late-night laughs, our patios are open, our shops are buzzing, and summer is yours to savour in the heart of the city.

This year, the Burlington Downtown Business Association has once again installed five pedestrian walkaways across the downtown to support on-street patios. Each walkway features a pair of stand-alone planter boxes, with seasonal plantings, to beautify the experience, spread across five streets until October, attracting thousands of diners, visitors, and residents.

Each on-street patio experience will feature a planter box duo, at the entrance and exit, at the following locations:

• Elgin Street & Brant Street
• Pine Street & Elizabeth Street
• Lakeshore Road West of Brant Street
• Lakeshore Road East of Brant Street
• John Street & Brant Street

Our goal is to keep Burlington Downtown as an attractive, pleasant place to shop, to be entertained, to work, and to live. Through the introduction of the on-street patios, we hope to keep bolstering our hometown economy and see it thrive.
