International Cuisine
Posted: Sep 8, 2020

Delicious food is being made in kitchens around the world. Recipes are passed down from generation to generation.  And here, in downtown Burlington, we are lucky to have cuisine from so many different countries across the globe.  Come and discover rich stews with lashings of pomegranate sauce and ground walnuts from a Persian kitchen.  Shawarma, kababs and gyro from recipes that have come from the middle east.  Let the steam from a huge bowl of Pho warm you on a cold day. Scoop pad thai, stir fried rice, egg foo yong and hong kong style beef tenderloin onto your plate, don’t forget the wok fried dumplings.  We have sushi platters that look like works of art. And authentic Italian dishes sure to make every nonna proud.

A vegan feast from Burlington’s Saigon on Brant! Clockwise from the top left: Vietnamese crispy pancake, shredded ‘pork’ rolls, ‘chicken’ and spring roll on vermicelli, and tofu fried rice. This place has a sizeable vegetarian menu, just be sure to tell them non-dairy or egg – pretty much every dish on the veg menu can be veganized if not already vegan! Pro tip, they make their own hot sauce which is amazing and can be purchased in a take-home size for five bucks a jar. #Vegan #vegansofcanada #veg #vegansofinstagram #vegansofig #whatveganseat #veglife #plantbased #vegetarian #canadianvegetarians #plantlicious #gtavegans #meatfree #friendsnotfood #estherapproved #eatyourvegetables #veganvietnamese #vietnamese #vietnamesefood #bun #springrolls
