Hello@homestorydesigns.ca
https://homestorydesigns.ca/
Our journey began in the halls of one of Canada’s only three CIDA-accredited universities, where we found ourselves in an exclusive interior design program. What started as a shared educational experience quickly blossomed into a rich tapestry of friendship, collaboration, and mentorship as we navigated our separate design paths. Collectively, our careers have been immersed in corporate and hospitality design. Although that was our primary focus, we naturally found our passion for residential projects while designing for the presidents and CEOs of the companies we worked for. Being trusted with those spaces was where we truly thrived, pouring our hearts into creating homes that reflect the unique stories of those who inhabit them. This realization ignited a desire to build something more personal. Something that resonates on a deeper level. Home Story Designs. We\'re excited and humbled to bring our combined 60 years of design expertise to an approachable setting. With authenticity and passion at the core of our work, we look forward to playing a part in shaping the design narrative for the place you call home.

Meet Whitney I started my fashion career attending design school in Toronto, Canada and at a young age always had hopes and dreams of having my own retail clothing store. After graduating I worked in two of Canada’s leading buying departments, Holt Renfrew and Club Monaco. It was there where I truly discovered my passion for creativity, fashion and design. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there but felt there was something more that lie ahead and I knew I always wanted something of my own. I made the decision to take some time off and did some travelling and soul searching. When I returned after much deliberation, I began my career in the wealth industry. Born to two successful executives in the banking world this felt like the right decision at the time and like so many of us on our path, I took the job “I thought I should do”. You know, the one that looks safest on paper! Fast forward 20 years, a loving husband and two beautiful children this path allowed me to support my family. I loved the community of women I had built and advising and supporting them on all areas of wealth but, something was missing. I decided I wanted to continue to inspire and empower women but, in a space, where I could also be creative and embrace my true self. Woven was born not only out of my love for quality woven fabrics and textiles but also to embody a community of women woven together. As a mom of two girls, it is my mission to lead by example and empower and inspire them to nurture their creativity. By following my passion, I hope to give them the confidence to follow their dreams!
