I specialize in trauma-informed treatment and have a passion for working with first responders who are struggling with trauma-related issues and Complex PTSD. I also have advanced training in Reconsolidation Therapy trained under Dr. Alain Brunet from McGill University, which helps heal emotional memory. As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, CBT focuses on the way people think (\"cognitive\") and act (\"behavioural\"). The concept behind CBT is that our thoughts about a situation affect how we feel (emotionally and physically) and how we behave in that situation. I treat a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression and mood disorders, relationship difficulties, adjustment problems and life transitions, stress management, family conflict, and communication difficulties. I am well versed in several counseling techniques including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Transdiagnostic Behaviour Therapy (TBT).
