VIRTUAL FITNESS
Posted: Apr 6, 2021

While we’re safely at home to stop the spread of COVID-19, our downtown fitness providers have once again stepped up to provide us virtual workouts.

Their doors may be temporarily closed, but they’re working hard to come up with new and innovative ways to keep you moving.  Stay healthy, and keep up with your fitness regime by taking part in some online workouts being provided by our downtown Burlington fitness community! If you’re a fitness provider in the downtown core and wish to be included please e-mail us at events@burlingtondowntown.ca.

Exhale Pilates | 482 John St., Suite 300, 2nd Floor
exhalepilates.ca

When the whisperings of another lockdown were happening, the Exhale Pilates team started brainstorming right away. 💭 How could we support our incredible community online?

We have a virtual library, but this lacks accountability and engagement. We’ve done the live classes, but this limits availability and scheduling.

We needed something NEW + FRESH! Thankfully, we have some wonderful community members that are always sharing their feedback with us.

Through meaningful conversations we learned that our community was looking for something beyond virtual fitness classes. They wanted support with all areas of health and wellness, which is why we created #ExhaleAtHome 💘 An online portal for us to come together in fun ways and stay happy and fit! Featuring virtual classes (live + replays), delicious recipes, fresh spring activities, on-going support, and more!

Ian Grimmer, owner of Strive Fitness, is posting various free at-home workouts on his Instagram account. He states “while being stuck at home take the opportunity to do high-rep workouts. Higher reps does not mean easy. Higher reps will give your joints and ligaments a much needed rest from heavy weights, build muscle endurance, muscle tone and calorie burn.” Check out this at-home basement workout!
