Family Day Weekend
Posted: Feb 11, 2019

We have lots going on downtown Burlington for Family Day!

Take in a show at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre! Two great shows are taking place on Family Day weekend including The Sleeping Beauty Ballet on Friday February 15th at 2pm & 7:30pm as well as Pete the Cat the Musical on Saturday, February 16th at 2pm.

Head to the movies and grab a bag of popcorn! Ciné Starz inside 460 Brant Street offers movies starting at $5 – check out showtimes here.

Bring the family out to the Art Gallery of Burlington’s FREE drop-in art studio in their GWD Foundation for Kids’ Creative Hub. Their facilitators offer ideas as sources of inspiration to encourage visitors to engage with art and craft making. (Children must be accompanied by parents or adult caregivers.)

Bundle up and go skating with the family at Rotary Centennial Pond in Spencer Smith Park! No skates? No problem! Their Skate Lending program is open daily from 10am – 10pm on weekends & holidays.

Take the kiddies for a treat! They’re sure to love an ice cream cone dipped in 1 of 16 available Belgian chocolate flavours from La Crème de la Crème Creamery at 389 John Street! Or warm up with decadent Sipping Chocolate from Lola Choco House & Sweet Bar in beautiful Village Square.

Then peruse the wide variety of children’s literature at either The Book Nook or A Different Drummer Books.

…And don’t forget – parking is FREE all weekend long including Family Day Monday! (some exclusions apply – click here for all details.)

Fall into Fashion
Fall is undoubtedly the best season for style – and Burlington’s downtown core has become a one-stop-shop for all your fashion needs.
