International Women's Day: Meet Dr. Alexandra
Posted: Mar 6, 2020

March 8th is International Women’s Day and we’re celebrating by featuring some of Downtown Burlington’s female business owners & managers! With so many incredible business owners downtown we turned to our community to help us in the selection process by nominating a female business owner that inspires you.

Meet Dr. Alexandra Zemskova, Family & Cosmetic Dentist at Lakefront Family Dental who was nominated for “being a caring person, business owner and amazing dentist. Her caring approach to treating patients is unmatched making each and every one of them calm in the dentist chair and it is not easy to do! She is passionate about patient care, the environment and helping Burlington downtown continue to the the best city in Canada!”

We asked her a few questions:

What was the defining moment for you? When did you know that this was your career path? When I was around 20 years old, I got a job as a dental assistant in New York city. After working for a short period of time, I realized that I love dentistry and how excited people get when they see the transformation and how it impacts their lives. I wanted to be able to improve people’s lives as well.
Who helped you get where you are today/influenced you to achieve your current accomplishments? Hard work every single day and people who love and believe in me. My husband is my biggest fan and his constant support got me where I am today.
As a celebrated successful female, what advice do you have for the next generation of successful women? Do not doubt yourself, dream big and go for it!
