When it comes to skin, who doesn’t want theirs to be healthy and glowing? Luckily, Burlington Downtown has all the spots you need to give yours the boost it deserves. With so many to choose from offering a wide range of treatments, you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect solution for all your skin’s needs. Burlington Downtown’s spas, treatment centers & shops offer some of the newest trends when it comes to healthy skincare & treatments – read on to learn about them and find one that works for you.

Facial Treatments

Body Language Esthetics
482 Elizabeth Street

Facial treatments are one of the easiest ways to give your skin an instant boost. The best part? They can be easily customized to suit your skin type and needs. The team at Body Language Esthetics recommends coming in to decide on a treatment plan and to discover which facial treatment will best give you the results you’re looking for.

Want to try something new? Nancy Lavergne, owner of Body Language Esthetics, is a big fan of the Davincia Bio Compatible Treatment, one of their latest additions (they’re the only place in Burlington currently offering this treatment!). After treatments, she’s “always amazed at how healthy and fresh the skin looks. People looking for a more natural product but still wanting results would love this treatment.”

Non-Invasive Techniques

The Grace Clinic
481 John Street Suite 200

If you’re ready for instant results with little to no downtime, non-invasive techniques might be the way to go. Whether you’re looking for help with anti-aging or help with skin tone and texture, these non-surgical procedures work well for different age groups. Botox and fillers may immediately come to mind, and are still popular, but Dr. Douglas Grace has seen an increasing trend in adding other services, such as the “Vampire Facelift” to these treatments for more targeted results.

Laser treatments have also been popular due to their results, with Dr. Grace noting that “These are mostly used for those patients who are looking for a more even skin tone. Patients who are bothered by brown spots and varied pigmentation can be treated very effectively with lasers as well as those patients with overall redness and broken blood vessels. Lasers have many different capabilities to help patients achieve healthy glowing skin and are often combined with other treatments and skin care products in the clinic for best results.”

Serums & Cleansers

Anise Modern Apothecary
429 Elizabeth Street

Skin treatments are a great way to help your skin out and to work towards the results you want, but without a great skincare regimen they can only do so much. Adding serums and cleansers that work for you is a great way to lay the foundation for gorgeous skin. Anise Modern Apothecary carries a slew of clean, plant-based serums and cleansers and will help you find the perfect products for your skin type and needs. Monique, one of the owners of Anise Modern Apothecary, recommends switching these up with the seasons: “Our skin changes with the seasons so it’s important to change things up or add or subtract products during seasonal changes. ie; add sunscreen in the Summer, add a hydrating serum or balm in the colder months.”

Want to get the most out of your serum? Monique recommends the push technique for application: “This involves first spraying your toner or hydrosol or splashing face with water, then you would warm the serum between your fingers/palms and push press into the skin, no rubbing, particularly in the eye area. You can gently glide your hands over your face to finish.” She also suggests adding the use of a jade roller into your routine to “stimulate healing, lymphatic drainage and collagen production.”

Microdermabrasion

Dynamic Laserworks
390 Pearl Street

Ready to glow? Microdermabrasion is the next step you’ll want to take. Kim from Dynamic Laserworks says that it’s “great for anyone who wants to upgrade their basic facial but aren’t interested in invasive procedures. People who are battling uneven skin tone, dullness, pigmentation and fine lines, or want a great exfoliation will benefit from microdermabrasion.”

The treatment removes surface cells and helps to diminish surface flaws, letting your skin’s natural glow shine through. Kim recommends having microdermabrasion done seasonally at the very least, and more frequently if needed depending on your treatment plan. The team at Dynamic Laserworks offers free consultations with their skin therapists to analyze your skin and determine the best plan to get the results you want.

Anti-Aging Techniques

Advanced Rejuvenation Medical Spa
425 Locust Street

Worried about the effect of aging on your skin? Dr. Rose at Advanced Rejuvenation Medical offers anti-aging procedures to help fight back against this. With a three-tiered focus on tightening the skin, replacing volume and boosting radiance, she uses these techniques to give your skin a more youthful appearance.

When you’re ready to give these anti-aging techniques a try, she recommends the Microneedling Facial as a great starting point. This procedure uses sterile needles to create tiny punctures in the skin which encourage the production of collagen and new skin cells. As a result, “This makes the skin thicker, firmer, brighter and more radiant — overall more youthful in appearance. The firming and tightening of the skin lifts the brows, cheeks and jawline, and erases fine lines and softens deep lines.”

Green Peel

Spa in the Village
416 Pearl Street

If you prefer a more natural approach to skincare, Spa in the Village’s Green Peel is a solid bet. The herbal peel, which is based on fruit acids and fermented milk, works to stimulate skin renewal. Lala from Spa in the Village, notes that it’s perfect for anyone with “large pores, scars, cysts, lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks and sagging skin on the body.”

The Green Peel Classic can be done 1-2 times per year, and Lala says that “With every treatment your skin becomes stronger, firmer and more resistant, metabolism is activated, skin is receiving more oxygen and nutrients, collagen and elastin production is activated, therefore your skin looks young, fresh and radiant.”

Dermal Fillers

Monaco Rejuvenation
400 Martha Street

When you want more instant, visible results, dermal fillers are a great option. The team at Monaco Rejuvenation uses hyaluronic and calcium based fillers that give a natural look and feel after the procedure. These fillers are a great way to restore volume, correct asymmetry, and regain balance, giving your face a more sculpted, fuller appearance.

Some of the most popular areas that can benefit from dermal fillers are the under eyes, fine lines, cheeks, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, vertical lip lines, and temples. The best part? Results are usually immediate and there’s little to no downtime afterwards; you may experience a little swelling and bruising, but this typically only lasts 3-5 days.
