Nestled in the heart of downtown Burlington, The Martini House has been a staple in the core for over 20 years. Maintaining a reputation of unique flavors and style, The Martini House’s newest Chef, Jayke Carter, is bringing his own exceptional flair to the Burlington food scene.
Chef Carter has been in the industry for almost 17 years. Beginning his career at some of the best restaurant’s in Toronto, including North 44, he gathered everything he learned and decided to try his hand at Chopped Canada. Throughout the competition, Chef Carter was pushed to his limits, but in the end he proved victorious. With a win under his belt and a drive to continue succeeding, Chef Carter expanded his career and began to take his dishes to the next level. Wanting a change of pace within his own restaurant, Barry Glazier approached Jayke with the opportunity to join forces. After having taken a year off to expand his business knowledge, Chef Carter was eager to get back into the kitchen and the two knew the timing was right. One year later, the restaurant is reviving their name as the Best Restaurant in Burlington.
In the year that’s passed, Chef Jayke Carter, along with his amazing team, have launched over 7 different menus and their newest summer menu is bound to succeed everyone’s expectations of what they’ve come to know as the Martini House standard.
The menu has something for everyone with a focus on gluten free, vegetarian and some vegan options, in conjunction with seasonal flavors, local ingredients and beautifully presented dishes.
