SUMMARY:The Artists Mark
DESCRIPTION:The Artist’s Mark\, BFAA’s premier annual juried exhibition established in 2019\, returns in 2025 showcasing original artworks by local artists\, once again bringing art and the community together. This unique and prestigious celebration of art promoted through multiple social media outlets and local public media\, is proudly funded by the City of Burlington’s Arts and Culture Fund as well as local community sponsors and donors. \nThis year’s popular members-only 11-day exhibit at the Hub\, located in the Burlington Centre\, will take place October 16 – 26\, 2025 and will feature an online as well as physical exhibit. Six artists juried into the show will lead an Artist Talk for BFAA members at the Art Gallery of Burlington as well as on Zoom. After judging is complete\, for a nominal fee\, members are also offered the opportunity for juror feedback on their submission. \nThe BFAA brings art and community together and this year is no exception. We will be expanding our outreach of exhibits\, artist talks and hands-on workshops to our senior’s community by including Artist’s Talks and workshops to a local public school\, tying art to a creative writing project. Once again\, we will participate in Heritage Week and include Cultural Diversity outreach with a presentation of art opportunities to Cultural organizations in Burlington through the BFAA. \nPlease join this celebration of art\, bringing the creations of local art to the community! \nThe BFAA is a wonderful community of amazing artists at all levels\, working in all styles of fine art media. We are a founding guild within the Art Gallery of Burlington\, under the umbrella of Arts Burlington. While we are one of the largest art guilds in Ontario\, currently close to 200 strong\, we remain a vibrant community of artists\, working together for the benefit of all within the association. \nThe BFAA provides access to a unique facility with working studios and multiple galleries\, an opportunity to draw\, paint or print alongside other artists on a weekly or monthly basis\, and so many opportunities to exhibit that you will find it hard to keep up! \nFOR MORE INFORMATION:\nPlease contact: \nName: Robert Peachey\nPosition: TAM Coordinator\nEmail: bfaa.artistmark2@gmail.com\nWeb: www.burlingtonfinearts.com \nName: Colleen pattrick\nPosition: TAM committee Member ( advertisement)\nEmail: colleenpattrickfineart@gmail.com\nWeb: www.burlingtonfinearts.com \nLocated in the Burlington Art Gallery\n1333 Lakeshore Rd\,\nBurlington\, Ontario L7S 1A9\n(905) 632-7796
