DESCRIPTION:Join our certified breathwork facilitator Elizabeth Harris for a four week series designed to build safety in your body so you can feel comfortable being with yourself. \nWhat is Breathwork? \nBreathwork is an active meditation. We use the breath to connect more deeply with our physical\, mental and spiritual bodies. During a breathwork journey we use the breath to move stuck energy so we can heal and transform. \nBreathwork is a form of bottom-up healing – healing from the body rather than the mind. It is a holistic practice using conscious and connected breath to eliminate emotional and physical blocks\, stimulate energy and improve your self-connection while also bringing\n a sense of presence\, relaxation and mental clarity. \nWhy Breathe? \nUse your breath to process\, integrate\, connect\, heal and release – find what it is you need. Breathwork allows us to work with the nervous system. Through consciously altering our breath we can activate and regulate the nervous system which allows us to build\n tolerance for stress in our life.  \nBenefits of Breathwork: \nThere are many benefits to a regular breathwork practice\, some of them include: \nReduce stress and help with the emotions associated with anxiety and depression \nImprove digestion\, sleep\, and lung capacity \nReduce chronic pain \nPromote creativity\, inspiration and potentially insights or “downloads” \nReconnect with your intuition \nProlong focus and concentration \nIncrease energy levels and reduce fatigue \nAwareness of emotions \nNervous system regulation \nBreathwork also provides us with a safe space to practice what we need in life – whether that is taking up space\, using our voice\, or listening to and responding to the needs and cues of your body. Breathwork allows us to integrate and explore\n without judgement. \nYou are always in control. Let your body lead the way\, there’s no knowing exactly what will arise in a breathwork session\, but you can be guaranteed that it will be whatever serves you best in this moment. \nWhat to bring: \nYoga mat \nJournal and pen \nWater bottle \nBlanket \nWhat to wear: \nLoose clothing is recommended\, dress comfortably \nBefore a session: \nRefrain from eating at least an hour before the session & minimize water intake \nPlease check the  health waiver and note the counterindications of breathwork.
