Leading with Art: Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail Pass

Championing public art, one sculpture at a time.

The Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail is preparing for its fifth season. The goal of BWST is to bring sculpture into the public realm in a free and accessible trail linking major elements of Burlington’s stunning downtown core and waterfront. Artists from across the country are paid an exhibition fee to present their work, and the DLISC team works to sell the works to drive additional support to Canadian artists.

Our team here at the BDBA is getting in on the artistic action with the addition of the Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail  digital passport. This easy to use, free to download passport is a simplified way to view the trail, note all the stops, learn all about the works and artists, and so much more.

How does the passport work? Click here to download for free, and save the the pass directly to your home screen. The passport uses GPS driven navigation and mapping to guide you along the trail. When you arrive at each work simply “check-in” on your phone.

Each check-in earns you points in the passport. Visit all 66 works, and redeem your points for one of five (5x) $100.00 Burlington Downtown Gift Cards! Accepted at over 85 locations in our small business community, your love of art meets your love of local.

The Dan Lawrie International Sculpture Collection has been supporting the the  commission and exhibition of sculptural works for over 10 years, and we are thrilled to be a part of this experience.

The Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail runs April 11th, 2026 – May 31st, 2026 in Burlington Downtown. Download your pass and get familiar with these incredible works of art! Read about the artists, learn about the works and immersive yourself in the world of sculpture.

Borne out of Dan Lawrie’s love of sculpture, DLISC has sponsored public art commissions through the City of Burlington Public Art Program, the Art Gallery of Burlington, Joseph Brant Museum and has led the creation of the sculpture collection at Royal Botanical Gardens over the past decade.
