The perfect day begins with a bike ride downtown. It’s a long way (from Burloak) especially when towing 40lbs in kids and trailer, but I love that we live near the trail so we can pretty much enjoy a nice paved trail and scenery all the way there.
First stop for us is ice cream at Crema di Gelato, we usually get two or three flavours to share but really if I let myself I could eat a few of these.
We usually go across the street to see the lake and make our way to the splash pad and playground at Spencer Smith Park. So far I’ve had summer in my mind, but this perfect sight is from the spring.
I just love those trees and of course my daughter’s smile. Later we would continue on to Burlington Beach. This picture was from last year, they had these inflatables available for the kids and they had a blast.
One thing I have wanted to try for a while is stand-up paddle boarding. I’ve seen it done and it looks easy enough right? Just in case Burlington Beach Rentals offers lessons.
On the perfect day I would love to have lunch here.
The view at Spencer’s is just amazing.
So now it’s night time. My hair has been restored from that busy day with the kids thanks to Omega Hair Salon (love the owner, she does such a great job on my hair and she is such a great lady to have a conversation with).
We head over to MY favorite spot The Martini House because I love the selection of delicious drinks as well as the atmosphere. This time this is my drink of choice…and this is my date.
